Fall Foliage
Fall comes early in Jackson Hole, which lies at an altitude greater than 6000 feet. With the arrival of the season, the many varieties of deciduous trees provide beautiful colors which complement the splendor of the Tetons themselves.
One beautiful area is Willow Flats with beautiful colored foliage of aspen and golden willows.
The greens and yellows of the trees contrast with the brown colors of sagebrush and other plants covering much of the valley.
The Teton range peeks above the foliage shown below.
Grand Teton sits above the valley as the leaves begin to change.
Colored leaves and grasslands contrast with evergreens.
Aspens and cottonwoods provide brilliant colors in the fall.
The aspen is particularly beautiful in the fall, with the leaves turning shades of yellow or orange.
More aspens and other trees are backed by low cloud cover and the glacier covered Tetons.
A touch of red sets off some aspens.
The color of autumn adds an interesting touch to the traditional view at the Snake River Overlook.
A grove of aspens is beginning to change, with the Teton range as a backdrop.
