Olympic National Park (Lakes)

Lake Crescent is the largest lake within the confines of the park. There are a couple of hotels on the north and south shores of the Lake--the Log Cabin Resort and Lake Crescent Lodge respectively--and the Fairholm Marina on the west end of the lake, pictured below.
The picture below shows the lake from the north shore near the Log Cabin Resort looking southwest. The lake is famous for its Beardslee trout, found nowhere else. The steep, heavily forested nature of the lake's shore can be easily seen in this shot. A trail leads along the bank on the right side of the picture
The following picture shows the northern section of the lake at sunset.
The following picture looks through some grass across a section of the lake and emphasizes some of the beautiful colors of the waters of the lake.
