Trails
Best known of the recreational byways in the park is the Canal Towpath, but there are a number of additional trails available for hiking as well. There are 186 miles of trails in the park. The trail below, which runs along Brandywine Creek, has a trailhead which is located next to the Brandywine Inn.
This trail leads through the woods down the side of the gorge which contains the creek.
A unique feature of the trail is the stepping stone bridge which crosses Brandywine Creek.
Wetmore Trail is located in the eastern section of the park.
