Plants and Vegetation
Much of the park is wooded and there are many wildflowers to be found as well. The field of wildflowers shown below is located in the Wetmore area in the eastern section of the park.
Wildflowers are found throughout the park, even in the late summer.
More wildflowers are shown below.
One plant seen in various places within the park is the cattail. This plant is a marker of a wetland area. Although wetlands are found within the park, Ohio itself has lost as much as 90% of its original wetland areas.
